Conformance

The Organizational Intelligence Framework version 0.1 defines non-certification alignment language only.

No organization, product, implementation, or assessment should claim official OIF certification in version 0.1.

Alignment Levels

OIF defines three alignment levels:

  • OIF-Informed
  • OIF-Aligned
  • OIF-Conformant

For version 0.1, OIF-Conformant is reserved and unavailable until objective tests, governance, and review processes are approved.

OIF-Informed

OIF-Informed means that a document, architecture, assessment, or implementation uses OIF terminology or concepts as guidance.

An OIF-Informed effort may:

  • refer to Organizational Intelligence
  • use the Organizational Intelligence Cycle
  • describe an Organizational Cognitive Engine
  • use OIF maturity dimensions for internal discussion
  • compare its design to OIF concepts

OIF-Informed does not imply implementation completeness, independent review, certification, or endorsement.

Example statement:

This architecture is OIF-Informed and uses Organizational Intelligence Framework
concepts for internal design guidance.

OIF-Aligned

OIF-Aligned means that a document, architecture, assessment, or implementation intentionally follows major OIF concepts and can explain how it maps to them.

An OIF-Aligned effort should be able to show:

  • use of canonical terminology
  • clear separation between Organizational Intelligence and the Organizational Cognitive Engine
  • support for multiple stages of the Organizational Intelligence Cycle
  • consideration of Organizational Memory
  • consideration of governance, explainability, and learning
  • evidence that ThinkPipe or any other product is treated only as an implementation, not as the framework itself

OIF-Aligned is still a self-description unless reviewed through an approved public process.

Example statement:

This assessment is OIF-Aligned. It maps evidence to OIF maturity dimensions, but
it is not an OIF certification.

OIF-Conformant

OIF-Conformant is reserved.

For version 0.1, no implementation, assessment, product, service, architecture, or organization may claim OIF-Conformant status.

OIF-Conformant will remain unavailable until the project defines:

  • objective conformance criteria
  • testable requirements
  • evidence requirements
  • review governance
  • trademark and usage rules
  • certification or non-certification boundaries
  • appeals or dispute process, if applicable

Prohibited Claims in Version 0.1

Do not claim:

  • OIF certified
  • officially certified by OIF
  • OIF-Conformant
  • endorsed by OIF
  • endorsed by ThinkHash because of OIF listing
  • international standard
  • formal standard
  • guaranteed maturity level

Acceptable Claims in Version 0.1

Acceptable statements include:

  • "uses OIF terminology"
  • "informed by the Organizational Intelligence Framework"
  • "mapped to OIF maturity dimensions"
  • "self-assessed using OIF draft 0.1"
  • "listed as an implementation without certification or endorsement"

Claims should be accurate, specific, and not misleading.

Review

Future versions may define more formal conformance rules through the governance process.

Any change to conformance language requires review because it affects public positioning, trademark usage, and trust in the framework.
